Amanda Orr

Amanda has been a part of team ADTC for 27 years and would classify the Centre as her second home. She was trained by Marie Walton Mahon and Robyn Turner in RAD ballet, contemporary and jazz, with a short stint in Physical Culture before reigniting her passion for dance by joining ADTC.

Amanda remembers fondly her many performances for local and national events, such as the Newcastle Knights cheer squad 1998, the NRL Grand Final cheer squad 1998 (Brisbane Broncos), music videos for local legend Super Hubert and band Three 27. Amanda has performed at Mattara Festival for many years, multiple eisteddfods and dance competitions, Movie World (QLD) and many other entertainment events.
Amanda is a trained Occupational Therapist, working in the area of paediatrics and is passionate about helping children of all abilities succeed and feel accomplished. Amanda’s training in child development, body structure and task analysis all assist greatly with her dance classes. She is proud to be a part of a creative and encouraging team who focus on helping children achieve their dreams!
