As one of the Hunter’s leading performing arts studios, we are proud to give performers and students the opportunity to perform in a professional capacity as singers and dancers.
We have a selection of performance groups across disciplines and age groups, with auditions held in February each year.
The standards of our performance teams are high, with members expected to attend regular classes and rehearsals.
Are you a dancer aged 18 years or over who is looking for an advanced class with performance opportunities?
Our Ignite Over 18s dance performance troupe are prominent across the Newcastle landscape. We provide entertainment for a range of corporate and charity events each year.
Your weekly commitment of a 1.5 hour class per week keeps your technique in check and teaches choreography for the numerous events and galas we are booked for each year.
Ignite Teens is the pre-professional level to our Ignite stable. Performing at charity and community events as well as paid suit work, character and dance performances throughout the year, Ignite teens is the perfect stepping stone to a professional arena.
We accept auditions from advanced dancers aged 15 and over.
The troupe is required to attend a 1.5 hour class per week to learn performance elements.
*Please note Ignite Teens members must undertake one technical jazz ,contemporary or ballet class at ADTC to be eligible for entry. You may audition for the team and join your technical class pending acceptance if you wish.
Vocal adrenaline is a vocal group dedicated to performance in featured lead vocal and ensemble acapella numbers (think Pitch Perfect). The group perform at a variety of community, charity and sporting events throughout the Hunter with their signature songs.
In 2020, the group will be embarking on a range of new show concepts, recording projects and performance opportunities all designed to turn out well rounded performers well prepared for the professional stage.
The troupe is required to attend a one hour weekly class to practice technique, blend and arrangements. Some home practice is also a requirement.
*Please note: Vocal Adrenaline members must undertake a vocal private lesson at ADTC and be over 13 years of age to be eligible for entry.
ADTC are committed to providing performance experience for its students, equipping them with the skills to become confident and proficient performers.
Each year ADTC Dance and Vocal performance Teams perform at a variety of festivals, community and events such as Hamilton Festival, Allambi Outdoor cinemas, Speers Point Carols to name just a few.
Our teams rehearse in a performance Team class each week according to their age and ability level.
*Please note: Our vocal teams require members to undertake a private singing lesson at ADTC and our junior and Intermediate dance teams to undertake a ballet class to be eligible for consideration.
