JAZZ

A popular style of dance which is used in Musical such as Fame and Chicago and is also often used by pop stars such as Madonna and Britney. This style focuses on developing the basic technique for dance

HIP HOP

Hip Hop choreography includes a mix of urban street funk and features a mixture of fluid and sharp movements including popping, locking krumping and gliding, all performed with loads of energy and enthusiasm.

It is a dance style used on many commercial clips and is heavily displayed in both Australian and US series of “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Tap LGTDA

A style of dance brought to life by Fred Astaire, involving the tapping of feet. We offer the Les Griffith Tap syllabus and students are able to complete their tap training and sit exams every year.

Modern Contemporary

Contemporary dance is characterised by its versatility; contemporary can be danced to almost any style of music, or united with other dance forms to create new styles of movement. Contemporary seeks to work with the natural alignment of the body and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners. At the same time, the ease of movement promoted by contemporary dance technique allows experienced dancers to push new boundaries of body movement

Classical ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance. It requires great focus and commitment to the style. Its diciplines assist the student with posture and correct technique that further assists them in other classes.

Recommended to all students who want to improve in any style of dance.

Future stars

A combined class of 30 minutes Jazz Dance and 30 minutes of Vocal Training. Future Stars is catered to the 3-5 year range. It gives students a taste of the performing arts and really gets them moving. Children will learn basic warm ups for the body and voice for performance of singing and dancing routines.

The course is designed to teach performance and stage skills while building confidence in a fun environment.

Junior Stars

A combined class of 30 minutes Jazz Dance and 30 minutes Vocal Training. Junior Stars is catered to the 5-8 year range and is the next step after Future Stars.

It gives students a taste of the performing arts and really get them moving. Children will learn basic warm ups for the body and voice for performance of singing and dancing routines.

The course is designed to teach performance and stage skills while building confidence in a fun environment.

Street Tap is not always about tapping to music. reet Tap has revolutionised the world of rhythm as we know it, making tap dancing about making different sounds with our tap shoes, beats, cannons and making music with our feet.
